Have you got what it takes to become a Street Champion?
Are you fed up with the problems right on your doorstep? Would you like to help to get them fixed?
As councillors we are here to represent you and push to get these issues fixed for you. Most of us do a weekly "Ward Walk" where we will pick on part of our patch to record and report any issues we spot, including:
- Reporting fly-tipping
- Reporting potholes
- Reporting faulty signs
- Reporting overgrown vegetation
- Reporting issues with litter bins
As well as anything else we spot. Since most of us hold full-time jobs to be able to cover every street in our Wards can take weeks!
This is where you can come in! Are you willing to become an extra set of eyes and ears for your local councillors and candidates? If we know about issue we can get them reported and chased, and the quicker we can get to work on it the quicker we can try to get it fixed.
As a Street Champion you’ll:
- Get regular updates on progress on reported issues directly to your email.
- Get to guide how we work to improve where you live.
As a Street Champion your details will never be shared to the public unless you choose to do so, but you'll become an invaluable reasource in improving the wellbeing of your community.
