Dinesh has lived with his family in Maidstone for 23 years and locally for 9 of those years. 

He has been a Borough Councillor since 2019 He is a food scientist by profession, working with a local supplier. 


He is a Trustee of Cutbush and Corral Charity and a member of the Beauvais Twinning Association and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Maidstone Community Mela and the Independent Police Advisory Group relating to the community. He is a trustee of the Collis Millennium Green Trust and helps run the Gurkha Boxing Club, open to all young people in Maidstone.

Dinesh has pioneered running Holi, the festival of colour, at the Collis Millennium Green Park since 2017, and it has gone bigger and better every year.
