Maidstone Rural North Division

Clive has lived in Maidstone all his life, attending Maidstone Grammar School. 


Having been an active member of the Local Liberal Democrats for 40 years, and a member of Maidstone Borough Council for 31 years.


He is currently the leader of the Lib Dem Group and Deputy Leader of the council. He is a Member of Bearsted and Boxley Parish Councils and the Chairman of the Kent Downs Community rail Partnership which covers the line from Maidstone East to Ashford.


Clive is retired from Royal Mail and has represented High Street Ward since 1994.


He has fought hard to protect and enhance our public open spaces and was instrumental in establishing the Hayle Park Nature Reserve. He was also involved in creating the Collis Millennium Green and Len Valley Nature reserve.
