Geoff Samme has been actively involved with the local Liberal Democrat team for nearly thirty years and is thrilled to have been selected to stand in Maidstone North East. At 57 years old, Geoff has lived in Maidstone since he was three, initially in Moncktons Lane and later in Vinters Park, where he continues to reside today.

Geoff attended Maidstone Grammar School and went on to earn a degree in Economics and Statistics from University College London. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he worked in senior financial roles for several local businesses.

For the past 28 years, Geoff has campaigned alongside numerous Liberal Democrat Councillors in Maidstone, gaining a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of local residents. To further demonstrate his dedication, he retired early from a well-paid job to focus on campaigning for candidates in the previous year’s Borough Council elections, allowing him to engage directly with as many residents as possible.

If elected, Geoff’s top priority will be to support the local community.
